HEREFORD bus company Yeomans Travel is axing the 74 route from Hereford to Newton Farm.
The company, based in Old School Lane, said it had to cut the route due to a driver shortage, as well as changing routes west of the city.
It means the last day of Yeomans buses on service 74 will be Saturday, April 23.
"This has been a difficult decision to make but with our current staffing levels as they are, we recognised that we could not provide a reliable service," Yeomans said.

But once again, Kington-based Sargeant Bros is stepping in to provide a replacement service.
Sargeants did the same when Yeomans Travel axed several routes at the start of 2021 because it said it needed to take action to protect its future.
The timetable for the replacement route is yet to be published by Sargeants.

On top of that, Yeomans said there would be changes to the 39, 447 and 449 routes between Hereford, Clehonger, Kingstone, Madley, Bredwardine and Peterchurch.
It said there would be timetable revisions to these services starting on Monday, April 24.
Journeys on service 39 will be integrated into service 449 and departures from Hereford will be coordinated with Stagecoach service T14 between Hereford and Clehonger/Kingstone.
Service 447 will continue to operate to/from Bredwardine on school days but the morning journey will run at an earlier time. School day journeys for Kingstone will also continue to operate.
It also comes just days after Yeomans pulled out of the Government's £2 capped single bus fare scheme.
