A NEW business has launched in Hereford, promising opportunities for people wanting to get into tech.

Inversity, a Hereford-founded technology education company, launched its site on September 27.

The business aims to help 16 to 21-year-olds seeking a faster and more affordable route into the tech industry than university, as well as people looking to transition into tech.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Inversity trains aspiring technologists and then connects them to exceptional employment in the tech industry.

“Our training is unique because it’s highly personalised and focuses on teaching learners to responsibly use the latest AI techniques.

“This will accelerate their learning and get them hired much quicker into one of the hundreds of thousands of well-paid tech job vacancies in the UK”.

The company currently offers two free services, a personalised learning path and AI-powered prize challenges.

The personalised learning path service surveys users on their pre-existing skills, passions, learning preferences and budget, then provides them with a personalised learning path which will take them to the standard required to get hired.

The AI-powered challenges allow users to demonstrate their skills and earn points, job interviews and even cash prizes. The first is live on the site now, closing on October 8, and has a £1000 prize with a guaranteed job interview for the top entry.

To win, participants have to quiz an AI trained on interviews with Leaven Pizza owners Ed and Dorian Kirk, then build a prototype software or AI solution to one of the problems they identify.

The winner’s prototype will then be tested in Leaven Pizza later this month.

CEO James Kuht said: “Aspiring technologists simply don’t know where to start or what training to take.

“I only discovered my passion for coding when I’d been a doctor for three years and felt overwhelmed by the number of learning options. We hope to help others avoid such a circuitous route.

“We’re adding a course on AI in the coming weeks, as well as onboarding more employers to hire the exceptional local talent we’re seeing on the platform.

“Hopefully, we can do our bit to help the incredible talent we’re seeing in Hereford get into great jobs.”
