AN iconic Hereford reopens today (Friday) - with the new landlord wanting to 'bring a sense of community back to it'.

The Victory in St Owen Street was previously run by Jim Kenyon, with distinctive artwork on the walls paying homage to his military background.

However, he has now decided to hand it over to Craig Price, who earlier this year took over the Spread Eagle in King Street.

Mr Price said he will be holding quiz nights, skittles, pool and darts at the pub, with 'good quality homemade pub food' also being available soon.

"DJs and live bands are a must at one of Herefordshire's oldest music venues, and the line-up looks great so far," he said.

"We have invested in plenty of variety behind the bar and given the bar area a small facelift. Jim Kenyon has been fantastic in this whole process and made it an easy transition from him to us.

"We are looking forward to our opening weekend and can’t wait to welcome everyone."
