SIGNAGE is up as a new takeaway gears up to open in Hereford.
A sign for a shawarma takeaway named 'The Grill' has been put up at 20 Commercial Road.
Shawarma is a popular street food, originally from the Ottoman Empire, that consists of thin slices of meat in a flatbread similar to the doner kebab.

The unit was previously the premises of Commercial Road News, which closed its doors in March of this year, and the site of Beddard’s newsagents before that.
It comes after Samman Rassul applied for planning permission to convert the former Commercial Road News at into a hot food takeaway with seating area for 20 customers.
The Grill will be part of the plethora of eateries and takeaways on the road, offering locals a choice of Indian cuisine, traditional pub grub, Chinese food and more.
The restaurant is only a few doors up from Hereford Charcoal Grill, which has been running since 1992 and bills itself as "the most established Turkish grill house in Hereford". But whereas Hereford Charcoal Grill specialises in food from the Near East, such as kebabs, the Grill will likely be focusing on Middle Eastern dishes.
