Changes at College Green fish and chip shop, Hereford

The College Green eatery has been run by the same family for the past 38 years.

However, a post on its Facebook page says they will move on from the business on Saturday, December 23, with it re-opening under new manager after the New Year.

"To every single person who has supported us in any way over the last 38 years we thank you deeply, without you we wouldn’t have been in the shop as long as we have been," reads the post.

"Some customers we have become life-time friends with. We want to dedicate this post to Roy who is Allie's partner and the girls' dad, who we sadly lost earlier this year.

"Roy was our behind the scenes man who prepped our potatoes and did the majority of our shop maintenance, he is missed by us all."
