A FAMILY who has run a Hereford fish and chip shop for 38 years are staying put for now before finally saying goodbye.
Barry and Lulu Young opened the College Green premises in 1986 with it becoming a community hub for the area.
Their daughter, Allie Young and grandchildren, Claire Gullis, Sophie Young and Laura Harper have also helped out along with Roy Harper (Allie's partner and the shop's maintenance man), who sadly died last June.

The family decided to step down at the end of last year, with new owners due to take over.
However, the handover has taken longer than expected.
A post on the chip shop's Facebook page said: "We thought we was finished but temporarily because of circumstances beyond our control we are sorry to say you have us for a bit longer."
The shop has reopened with the opening hours as follows:
- Wednesday: 4.30pm to 7.30pm
- Thursday: 4.30pm to 7.30pm
- Friday: Midday to 2pm; 4.30pm to 8pm
- Saturday: Midday to 2pm; 4.30pm to 7.30pm
At the time of the Young family saying goodbye, they said: "We have seen College Green youngsters born, growing up, then having children of their own.
"It has been a hive for local residents. Many staff have passed through our doors, going on to fulfil their careers and ambitions in life.
"As time passed, we decided, as a family to call it a day.
"We cannot thank everyone enough who came and used our shop, the laughs jokes the memories they all gave us. "
