A fan favourite Hereford restaurant has wowed judges at a national competition, taking top spot in one of the categories.

The Beefy Boys claimed the title of “Best looking burger” at the National Burger Awards, in the Champion of Champions competition.

Four titles were up for grabs, with Best Burger, Bloggers choice, Most Creative and Best Looking Burger all on offer.

The Beefy Boys cooked up the burger that previously won them the championships in 2023 "The Oklahoma Onion Boy Animal style" which is made up of two prime dry-aged Herefordshire beef onion smashed patties, mustard, American Cheese, and and a brioche bun.

“The National Burger Awards is such an awesome competition and there's so many amazing competitors and burgers in the championship or championships its an honour just to be here let alone win anything" said Murf, one of the co-founders of the Herefordshire born restaurant.

The Beefy Boys, which was founded by four friends over 10 years ago; have taken the county, as well as the country by storm over the years. As well as recent TV appearances and being featured in viral TikTok's, the team has won several awards including, having their Old Boy burger crowned "Burger of the year".

The team recently announced that their recently released book, 'The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers'  which contains their legendary recipes, has been a roaring success, previously making it to number one on Amazon’s book best sellers list.
