ANTISOCIAL behaviour has been high on the list of priorities for police as they engage with local communities.
A special operation was launched by West Mercia Police this week to tackle the local issues, where from 9am on Thursday officers patrolled Kington, Shobdon and Weobley with high sheriff Jo Hilditch.
In Kington, officers met with the high sheriff and town mayor Bob Widdowson walked along the high street to engage with locals, before moving onto Shobdon with parish chair Coun Bill Stokes, county councillor Roger Phillips where speeding was discussed.
In Weobley, parish council chair Lorraine Anderson met with officers at the newly-opened skate park, to talk about how the village has engaged with local youths and tackling antisocial behaviour.
