The art group meets in Bredwardine Village Hall between 1pm and 4pm each Friday. In December the dates are 6th and 20th. In January they are 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 30th. The sessions are ‘drop in’ and cost £5 each week, which includes the cost of hall, tea and biscuits. Our members work at their own pace and with the media they prefer, so any week we might have oils, watercolour, pastels, charcoal, ink and acrylics all being used and this is a great way to be inspired by something new or just take a look. Generally, we have around 10 members each week so lots of different work going on! We have built up some art resources and equipment of our own as well, including books for inspiration, which members can use.
In November we had an all-day workshop with Kathryn Moore of Kat and Fiddle Studio, Kington. We worked on an acrylic landscape of Bredwardine Bridge – this work will be displayed in the hall. We are planning tutored days and workshops for 2020, so do think about joining us! If you are interested or would like more information about the art group or any of our workshops please ring Brenda Taylor on 07855 143048 or find us on Facebook @Bredwardine Art Group.
NB: In January, please call ahead regarding the venue as in previous years in a cold spell we have moved temporarily to Staunton on Wye Hall.
