Our next Village Monthly Market will be held on Friday the 14th February 2020, from 10 am until noon, in the Bredwardine & Brobury Village Hall. We were pleased that a new "vendor" from Moreton-on-Lugg brought wood carvings for sale, featuring house signs, coat racks, serving trays, chopping boards and more to our January market and plans to come along again. Also on sale are homemade cards for birthdays and anniversaries with many featuring birds, flowers and wildlife. It's a great time of year to declutter! Bring along some Bric-a-brac a.k.a "treasures" to sell. Home baked cakes plus fresh eggs will be on offer. Fresh, local beef and lamb, both lupin-fed, from the Great British Meat Box at Allensmore are available for purchase. The Fairtrade cafetiere coffee and tea still costs only 80p a cup and hot chocolate is sometimes on offer along with home baked cakes for consumption. It’s a perfect setting for a relaxing Friday morning. If you have something that you would like to sell at our market, do come along. There’s a £1 fee to sellers for a table and the doors open by 9am for setup. Everyone is welcome. Please contact Sarah on 07880 521 551 or Philip on 01981 500 398 for more details.
Also at the February market, Unifire & Security will inspect our village hall fire extinguishers and kit. If you would like them to inspect your personal fire extinguishers, please bring them to the market between 11am and noon.
The Hereford Food Bank desperately needs more donations. Please give generously! The Food Bank would appreciate donations of cold and hot meat items plus UHT milk also tins of vegetables, tins of rice pudding, pasta, rice, custard, dried milk, sugar, bathroom necessities and pet foods. All non-perishables please. Thank you for your support!
Many thanks to those who regularly donate to the Hereford Food Bank at our monthly markets in the Village Hall. We are always looking for volunteers to take our donations to Hereford after a market. There are thirteen of us now. If you could help transport groceries to Hereford once a year, please contact Sarah.
