ONE of the stars of this year's Great British Bake Off visited a Hereford school last week.
Saku Chandrasekara is proving to be very popular in the tent of the hit Channel 4 show and has made it to week six.
And budding Bake Off stars got to meet her at their school. Posting on its social media pages, the Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School said that Saku was a celebrity judge for a bake off competition that was held as part of its autumn fayre.
For the second week running, the 50-year-old intelligence analyst at Herefordshire Council was in danger of being eliminated from the competition.

Last night's (October 24) show was pastry week, and going into it, the bakers knew that two people were leaving the show.
However, despite judge Paul Hollywood telling presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond that Saku was one of the people who could be in danger of going, they decided to save her.
Instead, Nicky and Rowan were eliminated, meaning that Saku is through to the final seven.
Next week's show is botanicals week.
