Despite being aged 65 retirement is far from his mind due to his farming passion.
"He has many roles on the farm including bailing, driving the John Deere tractor and a range of farm jobs," said his daughter Emma Taylor.
"He doesn't have much time off work and is there at the drop of a hat if something needs doing.
"He absolutely loves his job. There have been no thoughts of retiring, I think he will carry on until he can no more."
Mr Taylor started his career working for John Whittall at the Bowling Green for seven years before moving to work at Gillow Farm
