A TOP-CLASS rally entry is heading to Herefordshire this weekend for the Hills Ford, the final round of this year's Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship.

The two-day event will start on Saturday afternoon with its traditional Ledbury town centre ceremonial start from 2.45pm.

The start will be followed by two tests around the Castlemorton Common area on Saturday afternoon before returning to the service area at the Much Marcle Showground for the overnight halt.

Sunday sees a further eight tests to give some 60 miles of the best roads in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

The Protyre driver’s title is going down to the wire with reigning champion Callum Black in a strong position to retain his crown.

However, his great rival Neil Roskell in a similar Fiesta Rally 2 will be ready to pounce if things gone wrong,

There is also a huge local turn of local competitors with Herefordshire duo Roger Moran and Dan Petrie in the Moran Motorhomes Skoda Fabia R5, fresh from an eventful Rally Barbados.

Nik Elsmore and Pauline Nash line-up in the CDS Taxis & Calico Interiors Mitsubishi Evo 9.

Meanwhile, Gary Bollands and Nigel Baldwin are in the GB Motorservices Subaru Stationwagon.

Ian and Tim Skipp bring the beautiful historic spec Escort RS1800, while Justin Brooks will have Dan Evans on the notes in the immaculate Vauxhall Nova.

Hereford's WRCTV supremo Simon Dalton with Ryan Jones alongside in the Quick Motorsport run Subaru Impreza.

Event stage sponsor Andrew Price brings the Andylandy backed modern Mini Cooper with Adam Jones on the notes.
