WALKERS can discover the secrets of an ancient woodland thanks to a new trail.
This weekend saw the launch of a woodland walk around Frith Wood, near Ledbury.
The trail follows existing footpaths and highlights the geology, natural history and early human activity in the area.
Information panels have been provided by the Forestry Commission, while Herefordshire Archaeology and England's Past for Everyone have also helped out.
The walk, and an accompanying leaflet, was launched on Saturday by councillor Keith Francis, mayor of Ledbury.
He was joined by representatives from several groups who provided money and information for the four-mile route.
The booklet is available from the town's Tourist Information Centre, Heritage Centre, and Butcher Row Museum.
