FIREFIGHTERS from across the county spent most of yesterday at a hop picking shed fire near Ledbury.

Crews from Hereford, Ledbury, Ross and Malvern were called to Bosbury at around 8.30am on Sunday morning (September 21) and were there until nearly 8pm that evening.

The 40m by 20m shed and a machine inside it went alight and spread to the roof of the building, which contained asbestos sheeting.

The fire service used portable dam equipment to pump water onto the flames and bung apparatus to stop it running elsewhere.
