STAFF at Greggs bakers in Ledbury were bowled over when cricketing legend Shane Warne and his actress fiancée Liz Hurley popped in for a snack.

The celebrity couple’s visit has sparked growing speculation that they maybe house hunting or even planning on getting married in Ledbury.

Louise Southern, who was working behind the counter at the time, did a double take when the pair strolled into the High Street store to be served.

Louise, aged 26, sold a custard slice to Liz and two sausage rolls to Shane.

Louise, who has worked at Greggs for a year, said: “You see people like Liz Hurley and Shane Warne in magazines all the time but you don’t expect to see them in real life. It was a nice bonus to my career at Greggs so far.”

The celebrity pair were in town on Tuesday, November 15, and now rumours are rife that they might be looking to get married in the area, or even settle down locally.

Miss Hurley, 42, is best known for her work as an Estee Lauder model.

She has also had roles in films such as Austin Powers and Bedazzled and had a long-term relationship with English actor Hugh Grant.

Australian Warne is widely recognised as one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

He retired from international cricket in 2008 after taking 708 Test match wickets – the second most taken by any bowler.
