A TEENAGER has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily after an alleged attack at a Brecon pub, which left the victim requiring surgery.
Police received a report of an assault at the George Hotel on Sunday, June 20 and officers attended.
"They were told that an 18-year-old had been hit across the head with a bottle, leaving him with a significant laceration," a police statement said.
"He required surgery to remove fragments of glass from his face."
Officers arrested Dimitri Davies, aged 18, of no fixed address the following day. He was later charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Merthyr Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, June 23).
