I JUST can’t believe the front of the Hereford Times (April 11) – causing chaos seems to be this councils main aim.

Here we go: health and safety stops these road workers working at night. What utter rubbish. How did we build the Channel Tunnel?

How did we dig coal mines? How did we build railway tunnels?

Make them use gantry lights.

These lights are more than able to cope with the dark but the city can't cope now with our stupid traffic management.

I can't believe how these councillors can be seen in public – they should be ashamed of their cowardice when dealing with these utilities. Do you wonder why our shops are not getting the trade they need?
