I HAVE read the article in the Hereford Times (April 11) regarding the £660 bill for disabled students’ transport.
Well, I have waited for two years for my daughter, who has learning difficulty and is vulnerable, to have some training to use public transport. This hasn’t been down to the school but the council.
I have to work and I feel that if I have to find this amount of money then I will have to give up my job as with my working hours it would be impossible to get to work on time.
So does the council want this to happen? I really think it does.
The council just doesn’t care and hits the vulnerable people. We have very little help now because there is no money in the pot.
For this to happen is just not fair at all. I want to work and I want my daughter to have college life.
I also want my daughter to be safe going to college and that I can do my job knowing that she has got there and home again safely.
