I HAVE a few comments to make about the operation of the community toilet scheme.
Personally I would feel far more comfortable (in every sense of the word) if I could make a small financial contribution when visiting pubs and coffee shops under the scheme. Those with bladder problems are likely to be reluctant to buy a drink in case they have to return shortly afterwards.
So far as the loos on the first floor of Maylord Orchards are concerned, I have noticed in the past that if they are closed for cleaning, you could not use the disabled loo because you had to apply for a key. However, in those days you could troop downstairs to use the public loos where the buses stop. Now that the latter have been permanently closed, I suggest that the disabled loo on the first floor should be opened whenever the ladies or gents loos are closed.
Would the management of Maylord Orchard please confirm?
