AFTER many months of wonderful silence the Ledbury rat run has been reopened by Herefordshire Council. Without any alterations at all.

During the time Knapp Lane was shut they should have put in place at least two more lots of traffic calming to discourage the use as a bypass for every Tom, Dick and Harry that uses it.

There is already a bypass that goes around Ledbury, and the Herefordshire Council should have used this time to put up signage directing traffic to use the bypass from both directions.

But of course they have done nothing. And they still have not resurfaced Homend Crescent which is not only in a disgusting state of repair , but is also dangerous to drive your car on.

Isn't it typical of Herefordshire Council that they always take the easy option and are not really interested in anything outside of Hereford.

I intend to keep on badgering Herefordshire Council until it stops the use of Knapp Lane as a run through used by all the traffic that should be using the bypass. I will get it closed to through traffic one way or another.
