THE 300th anniversary of the Three Choirs Festival was a stunning week of music and celebration.
The work of the main committee has been supported throughout by The Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival who include an army of volunteers from 15 years upwards giving their time and energy over eight days.
Teams have provided stunning flowers, tourist information, interval, orchestral and chorus refreshments, hot suppers, an art exhibition and a shop. Others have prepared and served food from 10am to 8pm, cleaned, washed up and given visitors from all over the world a warm welcome.
Local businesses and individuals have donated flowers, food and drink and the cathedral and Hereford Cathedral School staff have been incredibly supportive.
Numerous others have, of course, been involved and thanked, but I wanted to pay a personal tribute to all the friends – volunteers who play such an integral part in this wonderful festival. A huge thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm.
F HANKS Chairman of the Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival
