ON Monday, May 21, my car broke down on the exit ramp leading from Tesco to Nemarket Street, Hereford.
As you may imagine, this caused quite a bit of inconvenience for other motorists. However, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised by the number of motorists who stopped to offer help.
One of these parked his car elsewhere and came back with his son to push my car to a place where it caused less of a hold-up to others.
Added to this, we had just joined Green Flag and they got us home in less than an hour from our calling them.
I am a retired Anglican priest and I would like to thank those who proved that the spirit of the Good Samaritan is alive and well in Hereford!
