I WAS interested to see that so many letters published in favour of retaining the May Fair in the city centre came from people who don't actually live in the centre or anywhere near it but in Abergavenny, Oxford, Mansel Lacy, Orcop, Hoarwithy Road, etc.
I am sure these advocates would have a very different view if they lived next to the smelly, throbbing diesel engines for the period of the fair.
