I WOULD like to express my sincere thanks to the Herefordshire emergency services, which we had to call out last Friday evening.
Despite our rural location, more than seven miles from Hereford, the fire service arrived within 15 minutes of being called to a house fire, and were swiftly followed by the police and paramedics.
All were extremely efficient, polite and couldn’t have been more sympathetic to our needs and concerns.
The fire crew worked through the night to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and the house made safe.
They then returned early the next morning for a final check, all the while keeping us informed of their progress and intentions.
We are extremely grateful to all the individuals who ensured that a very traumatic time was as stress-free as possible and are most encouraged that our emergency services are so competent and professional.
Lt Col and Mrs MRO Leigh, Yarkhill, Hereford.
