MY SON is currently serving in Afghanistan with the second Battalion the Parachute Regiment. So naturally our family and friends have been sending a supply of goodies to keep up moral.
To that end, we have been scouring the shops for his favourite flavour of Tyrrells crisps. It was turning out ot be a fruitless search, until his aunt rang Tyrrells to explain the situation. Much to our delight the company very generously offered to donate enough to see them through their six-month deployment.
It will be a big moral boost for them to know a local business is supporting them.
I know, due to the remote area of their current deployment, the mail can take a while to reach its final destination. So when the boxes finally arrive they will, I’m sure, be very gratefully received.
I would like to say a big thank you to Tyrrells on behalf of my son and Two Para.
