WELL done Mr Keetch MP. At long last you have spoken up for the majority in Hereford over the waste of approximately £10 million of our money on another market. With markets at Ross and Leominster why do we need another?
This £10 million could be put to better use for the community, ie housing, roads, public transport etc.
Councillor Bramer states that a small number of people are trying to make political points and support for the market is widespread. I went around and asked 83 people. Only seven were in favour of the new market (all seven were involved in farming), so where do you get your widespread support from, Mr Bramer?
Our two MPs represent the majority of the Herefordshire population. It is a great pity they do not bother to question and probe our council with their many secret sessions on decision making policies over new roads, private housing etc.
P WARNER,
