CHARLES Kennedy came to Hereford on Friday to see how the town could be made better for people to come and visit.
Well if he came on the Saturday, he would not have been able to get to the town. Who decided to dig up the road from Friday night after he left the city, and convert the A49, A465 and A4317 to a one-lane car park at the Tesco roundabout?
Even BBC Radio 2 told people to avoid Hereford – good way of getting people to come here.
Yes, it was the the gas company. With some of the profit they make, maybe they could have paid the road diggers overtime to work all night and not during the day.
Still, who needs the ESG when you have the HTG (Hereford Town Gridlock).
CHAS ASHBY, Golden Post, Hereford.
