I AM pleased to see that the debate regarding Herefordshire Council’s handling of the Reeves Hill Wind Farm continues in your pages.

You have been kind enough to publish earlier letters from me regarding this proposal, which will have a particular impact on our lives and home as we are one of the closest properties to the turbines – or at least we were!

The council’s report to the planning committee actually places us considerably further away from the proposed development than indicated in the planning application. If only it were so.

Their report states that the site is 600 metres away from our property when in fact, according to the plans submitted as part of the application, it is precisely 0 metres away – we will actually share a common boundary.

At this point our house will be approximately 300 metres away from the site and about 600 metres from the base of the nearest turbine.

The council’s description gives a wholly misleading impression of the relationship between our home and the proposed wind farm.

A verbal correction was made at the committee meeting but it is the written word that matters in these cases and the incorrect impression remains.

This report must be challenged in the courts. We shall fully support any action both morally and financially.

Paul Webb, Willey, Presteigne, Herefordshire.
