AS we already have a wind turbine at our school, I would recommend to everyone in the world to install one as it will save our planet.

Many power stations are used to make our electricity. These are polluting the air as they use fossil fuels which are building up our carbon footprints. They are slowly increasing our chances of a horrific end to the world. Would you want that to happen to our planet? I thought not.

By using wind turbines instead of power stations, the CO2 emissions will go down rapidly and they will make our lives safer, longer and happier. As wind turbines use wind to make our power, instead of fossil fuels, they will be saving our planet.

Wind turbines do not pollute the air and it makes renewable energy. Power stations are ugly and they release polluting gases into the air.

In our school we have a wind turbine. We have had people in school to explain all about it and there are amazing things to learn about. Some people would think it would be distracting to the younger children but the wind turbine is a short distance away from the Year 1 and 2 class and their education is as good as ever.

Wind turbines are great for making money and saving money too. Our wind turbine is making money as I am writing this letter. The energy it makes gets sold to a big electricity company.

We are the first primary school in Hereford to have a full-size wind turbine. We are making a small but effective difference to our world.

This is an amazing experience and all of you out there can help save everyone in the world and not just the people, the wildlife too. Will you join us saving the planet? I hope so!

MANY people think that they are ugly, but when you think about it people would prefer a wind turbine next to their house rather than a power station.

As we already have a wind turbine at our school I know what it looks like and it doesn’t look ugly. However, power stations look big, smoky and most of all they ruin the landscape.

Although wind turbines don’t create as much energy as power stations they don’t use fossil fuels, they use renewable energy. Power stations use fossil fuels and, after a while, fossil fuels will run out. But wind will never run out so that means we can still keep our fossil fuels for other uses.

Wind turbines are saving the ozone layer. Power stations are making holes in the ozone layer. So would you prefer to have smoking power stations or clean wind turbines?

MANY people think wind turbines are ugly metal structures. But really they are brilliant and I would strongly encourage people to change their minds about them. I would like to put a positive picture in people’s heads.

Our wind turbine has saved our school a considerable amount of money after only having it for just over one year.

Power stations are creating greenhouse gases which are slowly making holes in our ozone layer and that is resulting in global warming, melting the ice caps and destroying the habitats for many animals. Wind turbines do not do this.

Many people complain that wind turbines are tremendously noisy and will keep them up all night. But they are not actually that loud. One of our classrooms is only seven metres away from the wind turbine and nobody in there can hear it.

Finally, renewable energy can help schools like my own learn more about our world and even inspire others to try and find more ways of creating renewable energy.

In my opinion I would prefer to keep our ozone layer, wouldn’t you?
