WHAT on earth is happening to our dear city of Hereford? I am a Herefordian and used to love going shopping, but sadly not any more. Hereford is such a sad place now, every other shop closing, it’s like a ghost town. Come on councillors – pull your fingers out.
We went to Abergavenny last week and what a refreshing town it is, full of life and lovely shops, buzzing with people, lovely and clean. And dear Woolworths is a lovely new store, just like Woolworths used to be – it was great, and the market is a thriving place to go.
So Hereford councillors, if Abergavenny can do it, why can’t we? I’m sure most of my fellow Herefordians think the same as myself. Please do something to save our lovely little city of Hereford – even put some boats on the River Wye and make it enjoyable. From a very sad Herefordian.
BARBARA DAWSON, Ross Road, Hereford.
