Westfields 4 Dunkirk 0

WESTFIELDS extended their unbeaten league and cup run to 16 matches with a convincing win over their Nottinghamshire visitors.

After coming under early pressure, Westfields broke through on 26 minutes when Richard Kear flashed home a shot from the edge of the area.

Matt Gwynne saved well from Will Coutts in the lead-up to halftime but the home side extended their lead just after the break when Jamie Cuss charged down a clearance from keeper Jamie Mountain and had the easy task of slotting the ball home.

Scott Jackson scored the third after a header from Cuss was palmed away.

And Kear underlined the win when he hooked the ball home after good work by Zak Sirrell and Julian Triana.

Last Thursday, Cuss was also on target when Westfields beat Continental Star 2-0 at allpay.park.

Alex O’Leary was also on target to keep Fields in contention for a topfive finish in the Midlands Alliance.
