HOARWITHY dressage rider Alice Hurley has enjoyed an excellent start to her season with a series of wins on Marques, Deseado and Reseulto.
At the U25s Dressage Championships, Deseado became Reserve Open Elementary Champion and Marques won the Open Elementary Team Test.
This was followed by a double win at Aston by Marques with a 70.34 per cent in the Elementary and 69.64 per cent in the Novice and a treble win at Widmer Farm in the Elementary and Novice classes. Reseulto achieved a winning score of 71.15 per cent in the Novice 37 gaining him a place at Hickstead semi-finals.
Both Deseado and Marques are qualified for the British Dressage Under 25s National Championships and the Winter Championships at Hartpury.
Marques is already qualified for the Summer Regional Championships at Elementary level and Alice’s dressage horse, Woodlander Frangelica, is qualified for the British Dressage Winter and the Summer Regional Championships at Medium level.
This partnership recently achieved a 70 per cent at Solihull in their first Advanced Medium, narrowly beaten into second.
