DAVID Exall takes charge of Herefordshire CCC for the first time when they line up against Cheshire in a MCCA Knockout Trophy clash at Brockhampton on Sunday.
Exall, who has taken over from Brockhampton team-mate Chris Boroughs as skipper of the county club, will be hoping that his reshaped side can make a good start in their bid for a Lord’s final.
Exall is joined in the side by Brockhampton team-mates Ben Stebbings, Callum Stewart and Chris Powell.
Stebbings will open the batting with Brad Wadlan while Powell assumes the wicket-keeping duties from the injured Steve Adshead.
Making his debut for the county side will be former Glamorgan batsman Mike O’Shea.
The 25-year-old middle-order batsman has also represented England under-19 and Wales Minor Counties as well as being a member of the first Unicorns squad in 2010.
Atiq Chishti makes a return after playing for Staffordshire last year while Faisal Shahid is also available.
Herefordshire: Exall (capt), Stebbings, Wadlan, O’Shea, Chishti, Walker, Shahid, C Powell, N Powell, Stewart, Conway.
