HEREFORD cheerleading squad 3degreez enjoyed a successful first outing when they finished fifth in their first tournament at Cheltenham Racecourse.
The team was entered into the teen category which features girls from the ages of 11 to 16.
Throughout the day the girls had to perform organised routines, ranging from one to three minutes, which contained many components of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers and stunts to spectators.
Coaches Ruth Litchfield and Katie Bowcott-Hall are now looking to assemble three squads to take to the Midland Classic in Telford on the weekend of July 20.
The girls are currently running three teams which include age groups six to 11, the teen category 11-16 and adult team for ages 17 and above.
The under-16s train at Marlbrook Primary School hall with St Thomas Cantilupe School hall the venue for the adult squad.
