HEREFORDSHIRE CCC have made three changes for their MCCA Knockout Trophy trip to Jesmond to take on Northumberland on Sunday.

Michael O’Shea is required by the Unicorns so he misses out on the county’s long trip north while Faisal Shahid is omitted and Nick Powell takes over 12th man duties.

The trio are replaced by Atiq Chishti, who missed the win over Cheshire due to injury, all-rounder Phil Harris and spinner Steve Bevan. Herefordshire will be hoping for more runs from opener Liam Gwynne who blazed his way to an unbeaten 79 in the win against Cheshire.

Gwynne will be close to familiar territory as he is a student at Durham University.

Herefordshire’s home match with Cambridgeshire at Colwall, which had originally been announced for Bank Holiday Monday, May 27 will now take place the day before, on May 26. The county’s final group match is at Penrith against Cumberland on Sunday, June 2.

Herefordshire: Dave Exall (captain), Ben Stebbings, Liam Gwynne, Brad Wadlan, Atiq Chishti, Charlie Walker, Phil Harris, Chris Powell, Callum Stewart, Dan Conway, Steve Bevan. Twelfth man: Nick Powell.
