BURGHILL’S popular Crocodile Eight race has increased in distance for the first time in its 15-year history.
The race, on Sunday, May 26, will be run over 8.8 rather than 8.2 miles meaning that new course records will be set.
Entrants can also apply and pay via the website for the first time with more than 300 runners targeted to take part.
The race welcomes both fun runners and the more serious athlete with race headquarters is at Burghill School, where on-the-day race registration takes place. It is £12 to pre-enter and entries are also taken on the day until 2pm. A Junior Croc aimed at young runners aged 11 to 16 will take place for the second time.
This takes on the first 1.9 miles of the main course route and will start at 3pm alongside the main race. This will be £3 to enter and entries are taken on race day until 2.30pm.
Children’s races, covering primary school children, take place at 2pm in the school grounds.
