DEFENDER Luke Graham admits it’s time to focus on his future - whether it’s with Hereford United or not, writes ADAM KNIGHT.

Graham was United’s club captain last season and says he feels sympathy for manager Martin Foyle’s attempts to build a squad for next season.

“It’s a difficult situation for the gaffer,” said Graham.

“He doesn’t know how much he has to spend and, until he’s got that, it’s tough to work out how much you can offer players.

“I hope the club gets things sorted because a lot of lads are relying on it.”

United have now sold more than 750 season tickets to help ease their immediate cash-flow problems.

Graham added: “You can’t really call us a Hereford United squad at the moment because there are only a handful you can call current Hereford United players – the three lads who have been offered deals.

“During the last few months it has been tough for the players.

“We’d be on a night out, or sitting in a cafe and having a whip round – we looked out for each other.”

Graham said the players refused to allow the club’s off-field issues to dominate what happened on the pitch.
