BROMYARD FC boss Matt Beale believes his side can achieve back-to-back league titles.

Bromyard have sealed the Herefordshire League Division Three crown in their maiden season.

The ex-Hereford United player also guided the team to Peterson Cup success, beating Orleton in his first managerial job.

Bromyard hammered Tenbury Colts 17-1 a few weeks ago and rounded off their season with a 2-1 win at Leintwardine Colts.

“We have good players coming through, and players that have played at higher levels,” said Beale.

“We have quality in this team and we will definitely be going for the title next season too.

“Our debut season has gone better than most of us thought, but I’m used to winning and want success,” said Beale.

Beale puts the success down to the performance levels of the young players coming through.

He said: “A lot of them hadn’t played adult football before but have come on a lot.

“It’s been pleasing to see them coming along so well.”

Tenbury Town finished runners- up in the division after thrashing Relentless 5-0 in their final league match.

Mark Boucker snapped up a hattrick for Town and carried off the club’s golden boot award with 24 league goals.

Their rivals Tenbury United have applied to join the Herefordshire League next season.

United are struggling towards the foot of West Midlands League Division Two.

Former Wellington player Aaron Morris is co-managing United next season and says they could be starting in Division One.

AFC Ludlow, who are on the brink of the Mercian League Premier Division title, have also spoken to bosses about joining the Herefordshire League.

Ludlow, managed by ex-Woofferton and Leominster Town goalkeeper Dave Cooper, have also applied to join the West Midlands League.

Cooper watched Woofferton’s cup win over Shobdon last Saturday and confirmed Ludlow had written a letter of resignation to Mercian League officials.
