CRICKETING teacher Lyndon Jones is limbering up for a marathon bowling stint.
Lyndon, from St Richards School, will be bowling for 24 hours from 1pm tomorrow (Friday).
The former Wales Minor Counties all-rounder is raising money for the school and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
Parents and children are being urged to get involved in the bowl-a-thon by taking up one of the 30-ball sponsored slots.
Prizes are up for grabs if people can hit the stumps more times than Jones, who lives in Hay-on-Wye.
“I thought it was a great chance to support two great causes,” said Jones, who is enjoying a break from club cricket.
“It’s not a world record attempt – I will be taking breaks – but I’ll try to keep going for 24 hours.”
