WYE Valley Runners’ athletes enjoyed a clean sweep at the 2013 Hereford Half-Marathon, which attracted a 603- strong field.
Luke Mason romped home in one hour 16 minutes 33 seconds and Valley teammate Kathryn King was the fastest woman in 1.29.56.
Team F, made up of Valley quartet Scott Kennedy, Denzil Gittoes, Mark Killeen and Mervyn Thomas, was the fastest relay team in a time of 1.27.32.
John Pullen, another Wye Valley Runner, was third in 1.20.22 behind Builth and District Running Club’s Tim Iveson.
Former Herefordshire netball star Jaydee Peters, who now lives near Woking, was third in the women’s race in 1.30.46, behind Paula Lucas (1.30.17).
Terry White, aged 87, was the oldest runner and completed the marathon in 3.23.02.
Pullen (Wye Valley Runners) won the Vet 45 in 1.20.22 and Nikki Childs (Wye Valley Runners) won the Vet 50 in 1.51.21.
