CHAMPION boxers Frankie Gavin and Brian Rose have dropped in to support fighters in Hereford.
The duo and well-known fitness guru Kerry Kayes spoke to boxers at Wye Police ABC last week.
Gavin won a gold medal at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships to become English boxing’s first-ever World Amateur champion.
And British light-middleweight champion Rose took a step towards elite level last month with a 12th-round stoppage of former world champion Joachim Alcine.
He now holds the WBO Inter-Continental strap.
Wye Police club chairman Richard Roberts said: “We were very happy to welcome Brian and Frankie to our gym along with their coaching team.
“It’s always good for our boxers to meet people at the very top of the sport, to listen to their advice and encouragement.”
Kerry, Brian and Frankie have close links with Wye Police and were guests at the club’s international boxing show in March.
Roberts added: “They are keen to stay in touch with the club and have already booked a table for our next boxing show.”
