A 14-STRONG squad from City of Hereford Swimming Club competed at the Shrewsbury Open Meet.
Among some very fine swims, Isabella Fox took the 11-12 year award for top girl and Tom Harris achieved a regional qualifying time in the 200m backstroke.
Isabella took two golds, three silvers and a bronze - with her finest personal swim being for second place in the 200m backstroke in a time of 2-.42.88, 5 secs faster than her previous best. First place swims were in 200m IM and 200 Fly with silvers in 200m backstroke, 50m and 200m freestyle; and the bronze in 100m fly.
Thomas Harris's swim in the 100-years 200 backstroke saw him swim a 9 secs PB, finishing second in 3.07.40.
Other medals went to Tasha Webster (11) in the 200m backstroke, swimming a 5 secs PB to come third in a time of 2-45.74 and Callum Tuffin (12) also taking a bronze, but this time in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 3-.20.55.
Other notable swims were recorded in the 200m IM by Luke Fox (14) where he took nearly 12 secs off his PB (2-45.25), Carla Thornwell (10) with a 25 secs PB (3-.45.87) and Hannah Casewell (10) with a 14 secs PB (3-21.95).
Megan Rogers (10) swam a 10 secs PB in the 200m breaststroke (4-02.65), while George Field (11) took 20 secs off his time in the 200m breaststroke (3-.24.95), with Lydia Waldron (10) shaving 17 secs off her previous best time in the 200m backstroke (3.17.56).
In the 50m freestyle, Madeleine Hayden-Woodward (9) swam a PB of 2 secs (42.32), while Chloe Waldron (14) just missed out on bronze in the 100m fly with a time of 1-24.42.
