WIDEMARSH Rangers have clinched the Hereford Times Herefordshire League Division 1 title after a goal from skipper Dave Olive completed a 1-0 win at Holme Lacy.
The title success rounded off a memorable season for the city side who also carried off two cups.
Their first title came in the Ross A Cup where goals from Carl Morgan (2), Ryan Daw and Craig Bevan sealed a 4-1 win over Ross Town Reserves.
Subsequently, Widemarsh won the HFA Junior Cup with an exciting 2-1 victory over Ewyas Harold Reserves.
Widemarsh went close twice in the first period through Liam Neville and Aaron James but had to wait until the start of the second period to take control with a header from James and a powerful effort from top scorer Morgan.
Harold pulled a goal back but, with Scott Bruton turning in a man of the match display, the city side held on for their victory.
William Badder was named Widemarsh's player of the season with Danny Gagg picking up the manager's player of the season award.
Ewyas Harold Reserves finished in second place in Division 1 after picking up two 1-1 draws from their final two matches, one of which was against the new champions.
In Division 2, Fownhope Reserves needed to win their last two games to overhaul Stoke Prior for the title, seeing off Civil Service 4-2 at home in a midweek clash and then clinching the title with a 3-2 success at Lads Club Colts.
There was not such a happy end of season for Pegasus Colts in Division 3, however.
The city side travelled to Holme Lacy Reserves needing a win to overhaul Bartonsham for the title but instead crashed 4-1 after Petr Nazerlik had levelled the scores on the hour.
