KINGTON continue to struggle at the foot of the Birmingham League Division 3 table after failing to win for the third time in three outings when they went down by five wickets to Ombersley.
The border club were able to welcome back Sri Lankan professional Dharshana Gamage and the all-rounder showed he has not lost his touch with the bat as he top-scored with 41.
Unfortunately for Kington, however, only opener Steve Caple (27) was able to join Gamage in double figures as they were shot out for 99 in the 39th over.
When Ombersley replied, seamer Adam Herbert bowled a fine spell of 17 overs to return 3-39 and off-spinner Owen Price was also economical as he finished with 1-20 from his 10 overs.
But Kington never looked as if they had enough runs on the board and Ombersley reached their target after 35 overs.
