RUNNERS from as far afield as France, America and Ireland will be heading for Hay to take part in the Hay Hotfooters 10km multi-terrain race on Sunday.
The race takes place at a spectacular location at the Begwyns, six miles out of Hay with a samba band providing entertainment and organic fast food, beer and cider on offer.
Runners can apply on the day of the race and all profits will go to support Hay Primary School.
The race begins at 11.30am.
"Runners can then meander down to the Hay Festival in the afternoon and we are attracting some intelligent runners' who wish to capitalise on both," said race director Cathy Lawford.
