WOOLHOPE Cricket Club are to apply for grants to improve their facilities as they prepare for the new season in GB Liners Marches League Division One.
The villagers have targeted new sight screens and pitch covers at their ground near the Crown Inn pub.
First team captain Andrew Tanner says the club are also on the lookout for new players.
"We have a good mix of youth and seniors in the club and are strengthened by the 2nd Xl providing a great nursery for some very promising juniors who we will be looking to introduce to 1st Xl cricket next season," said Tanner.
"We are very aware, however, that there are some very good teams in the league and will be looking to strengthen playing resources before the new season commences.
"l believe the Marches League offers some high quality cricket right on our door step playing on some beautiful grounds."
