Wigmore triumphed in the Herefordshire Football Association Secondary Schools Under-14 Championship by beating Aylestone in the final. They won all their pool games without conceding a goal and then beat St Mary's in the semi-finals.
Much BIrch Primary School have become the latest county educational establishment to gain FA Charter Standard status. The award recognises excellence and dedication to the development of football. "We are very excited and thrilled to achieve this award," said headteacher Colin Howard. "It rewards the hard work put in by the staff and all the children."
THE Mitchell Hamer Trophy is set to be shared this year after finalists Luston Primary and Leominster Junior School were unable to decide a winner.
A 1-1 draw left a penalty shoot-out decider and both sides had scored with their first four penalties when the decision was taken to end proceedings.
