AT the second meeting of the National Junior Athletic League at a very wet RAF Cosford, four Hereford and County AC under-20 members helped composite club Border Olympians to first place out of eight teams with a total of 351 points.
Athlete of the match was Oliver Wright who threw 50.35m to win the javelin. He was also first in the A shot with 12.08m, and fourth in the A triple jump with 9.85m, while Anna Robertson was third in the A shot with 7.83, fifth in the A discus with 18.97 and ran the first leg for the 4 x 400m relay team who won in a time of 4.36.1.
Josh Day was first in the B Shot with 11.37m, and in the A discus with 27.83m, but neither Robertson nor Day could do their main event, the hammer as it was cancelled prior to the meeting.
Sam Hampton was fourth in the A 100m with 11.9 and third in the B 200m, 23.8, and e A long jump 5.50. Sam also helped the 4 x 100m relay team to finish second.
