WESTFIELDS have boosted their squad by signing two of Presteigne's Spar Mid Wales League winning side ahead of their new Midlands Alliance season.
Joining the allpay.park club are promising young forwards Paul Allam and Shaun Prince who were both regular goalscorers as Presteigne stormed to the title last season.
Westfields have also looked closer to home for a third signing after acquiring young goalkeeper James Morgan from Wellington.
The youngster played twice against Westfields last season and gave impressive displays on both occasions.
"At MFA level, we need a squad of 22 players to allow for injuries, suspensions and bearing in mind the number of games we must play at this level," said manager Sean Edwards.
"These three players will be a great addition to our squad from last season and will make it competitive for places which is what we want."
Westfields report back for pre-season training on Sunday, July 8.
IN the caption to one of the pictures concerning West-fields' annual dinner and award presentations last week, Mark Mortlock, the leading scorer in the club's Hereford-shire League side, was incorrectly identified as Rod Haslam, the player of the year for that team. We apologise to all concerned for the error.
